| The air quality of each Everest Home is tested and certified by the American Lung Association, chemicals such as: formaldehyde, chlorine, and arsenic are not used inside the home in construction process. Typically these chemicals are introduced into the home in the materials used in the construction process, along with other Volatile Organic Chemicals (VOC's). We are forced into importing constructions products that do not contain VOC's to meet the air quality testing by the American Lung Association. In the air exchanger a filtration box is added with four separate filters: a 13 MERV filter, a Hepafilter, a negative ion filter, and a positive ion filter. The same filter box is added to the return air ducts of the heating / cooling unit. We also place a device in the air handler which creates safe ions to remove allergens, germs, bacteria, dust mites, and etc. From the air. This device will even remove the various strains of airborne styph infection. Other filtration systems we add as the need arise include but not limited to de-chlorination filters, to remove the chlorine from public water supplies, iron and / or calcium filters (when you remove these elements you add additional chlorine to the water), and carbon air filter to remove certain odors from the home air supply. Radon gas vents are installed under each home, even though Texas is not a high radon area. Since the only ventilation is mechanical it is easy for the home to maintain the air quality on a constant basis. |
